Level Ten Studios offers simple uncluttered website design. Information is king on the Net and nearly everyone prefers pages that don't assault them with unsolicited content. We build sites using Adobe software, including PhotoShop, Fireworks, Flash and Dreamweaver. Our completed sites are checked for coding errors in Dreamweaver as well as with the W3C CSS and Markup Validation Services. Our pages are tested in multiple browsers for proper page display.

This is accomplished through attention to site code detail as Google prescribes and by providing quality, frequently updated information related to your business products and services. Any strategy we implement will be Google compliant and have contained within its implementation, the goal of moving the quality of Website design and Internet information forward in a positive direction.

Here are some general site building guidelines:
Make sure to use (CSS) Cascading Style Sheet format as opposed to old school tables and cells for your new site construction. In most cases, the site should be designed in Dreamweaver as opposed to a site development template solution like Drupal or Joomla. These solutions can commonly generate errors and the learning curve to have others do simple updates is often very time prohibitive. Avoid website design tools like SiteGrinder because the resulting pages often obstruct even simple updates.

It's important that all pages pass W3C.org Markup validation as well as CSS validation because errors can cause page malformation in certain browsers and have a negative impact on Google ranking.

Each page in the site needs its own unique title (within the HTML title tag) and Google continues to utilize the meta name="description" tag that should should contain a unique summary of each page's content. Also make sure that all appropriate alt="" HTML tags are filled in with a short descriptive name. Regularly update the site and create new information-based pages for the site based upon Google stats related to the most popular keyword search terms for your business.

The website must reflect a unified corporate branding effort. The most successful and effective marketing visuals will be those that offer a consistent and uncluttered design. Businesses have extended their marketing efforts to include a business account Facebook presence and a Twitter account. In addition to these two, I recommend a You Tube account. Go to Youtube.com, type in your company's name and you may be surprised what comes up. Often something totally unrelated to your business.

I believe as much as possible, ad flyers as well as other marketing material should follow an established corporate layout format. A unified visual layout format will leave a refreshing positive impression upon potential customers even if it's only subliminal. As an example of inconsistent layout/formatting, I think you should avoid what I run into while organizing my tax related receipts each year... nonstandard receipt format across the various merchants. Some have the date at the top, some in the middle, some at the bottom. It becomes frustrating hunting for information.

Several years ago, when I designed the Atlanta Plan Source Website. The site's owner, Jim Wells had a daughter in college who used his website for a class project marketing study. One important suggestion that came out of the study was that we include a photo of the owner and a brief bio. The reasoning being, most corporate sites are impersonal and site visitors prefer to connect with a person as opposed to corporate graphics and sales copy. As an added note, I developed the original idea and designed the prototype for Jim's (Atlanta Plan Source) Home Plan Options where a home plan customer can customize their home plan design.
